Pitter Patter Let’s Get At ‘Er

Friends, it’s work o’clock after a pretty lusciously lazy summer of very little writing and no teaching. I’m so good with the long rest—and the timely startup. When summer began it was definitely time for a pause. And pause I did.

During the pause

I went to Invermere BC to do what might be expected of a visit in the mountains. I hiked, river floated, boated, explored, watched the sunset, and took so many pictures. The weather was incredible. I revisited Toby Creek Canyon. It’s still a wow and discovered Lillian Lake. A new wow.

I went to Greece. I took companions. Two dear friends joined me for the first two weeks and when they left my significant other came out to see what all the hype was about on my annual trek to the motherland. I’m happy to report he now gets the hype. We did what might be expected of a visit to Greece. We beached and sunned, and swam. We saw some cool historic sites. We ate and relaxed. The weather was perfect.

Both trips will get their own blog posts because they are too awesome to not give each more detail. But for now….

I’m back at home.

Sitting at my laptop, I look at drafts of posts I want to throw up here to be read, and to be recorded for future me, reminding me of the summer of 2024 and all the things I did and how great it was.

I am also reminded that it’s time to get back to work with a rested soul and a full heart. There are words to get out and stories to tell.

As always, thank you for reading Lovelies.
