The Pitch

My List My Rules is about the year I did 101 things and the funny and challenging lessons I learned from it. It’s full of hope and the f-word.

Dave is really good at knowing what needs to get done. When My List My Rules: the year a checklist changed my life was complete, he suggested that I needed an elevator pitch. Makes sense. When someone walks by at a market or book signing, I need to be able to tell them–in a sentence or two–what my book is about.

What Dave and I came up with

My List, My Rules is about the year I did 101 things in 365 days and the funny and challenging lessons I learned from it.

And because I like colourful language–a lot I added the following sentence:

it’s full of hope and the f-word.

I tried out the new-and-improved pitch at a holiday market recently, and that last little bit about hope and the f-word got a lot of people laughing—which is exactly the reaction I want. Life is hard and sometimes we get frustrated. But life is also hopeful—and funny—and courageous.

I also like to warn people in case they are not about colorful language.

In any case, if this pitch appeals to you, you can check the book out by tapping the title at the top of this post.

As always, thank you for reading, Lovelies.
