For now…

The Christmas season is upon us. I attended Light Up the Village an event which is a festive way for local businesses to kick off the gift-giving vibes of this time of year. The evening was a perfect winter night of cool yet comfortable air, snow piled up everywhere, and a quietness that accompanied me. I loved my walk home.

My phone buzzed interrupting my cinema-like stroll just a block from my house. I had a messenger notification.

I read:

Hi Angie. This is Jackie from the office at the school we worked at together. I just started going to the Lemon Drop Salon and noticed your book “My List, My Rules.” Of course, I bought a copy and thought it would be a great read. What a wonderful book. Had me laughing, crying and really thinking about my life. I just turned 70 and it made me think about my life and what my next chapter will be like.

Girl you are so talented. I couldn’t put it down til the end and wished it wasn’t over.

I’ve thought about you a lot over the years wondering how and what you were doing. I really enjoyed working with you.

Take care.

Jackie.

Not what I expected, but what I needed

Well if that didn’t just move me, right there in the street. Every single message that I get about My List, My Rules that touches people the way I hoped it would means so very much to me. And, as I wait for the big book deal—these sweet moments remind me and carry me toward my greater goals, and that I am on totally on the right track. This message is exactly what I needed, confirming I am headed in the right direction.

As always, thank you for reading, Lovelies.
