November and December were full. Full. Full. Full stop. You can probably tell by my lack of posts and presence on here.
Birthdays and book launches
November was busy. I celebrated my 55th birthday and launched my new book My List, My Rules. My learning curve grew once again as this book was a solo adventure for me and I was asking questions for myself for the first time. It’s a different kind of excitement when it’s not shared with a writing partner. Brave and crazy.
Book promotions and sales
The busyness of my book launch and preparations for it slid straight into book sales, book fairs, and winter markets for My List, My Rules, and the Counios and Gane international award-winning series that my writing partner and I co-authored, the Shepherd and Wolfe Mystery Series. Full teaching days rallied into weekends selling and promoting. Tired and grateful.
Christmas time
Christmas time arrived with a jingle bell, but no snow. And, the break was around the corner. I had to prepare for the break from teaching and say goodbye to my intern. More importantly, Christmas preparations and social festivities began. And, guess what, I made it. I launched my book. I sold and promoted. I taught. I prepared for Christmas, decorated, baked, shopped, delivered gifts, and spent time with family and friends. I don’t think this is the busiest time in the record books in my ordinary but lovely and subtly wild life, but it’s definitely up there. Exciting and fabulous.
Now that the buzz has settled you’ll see a little more of me on here playing catch up and reorganizing my life. Details of the above will be storied.
As always, thank you for reading lovelies. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and blessings to you all.
